Application

The Master Program in "Molecular Medicine" starts in October of each year. To be considered for the Master Program starting in October 2013, applications need to be submitted between December 01st 2012 until May 30th 2013. If you want to register, then please use only the official registration form (click here). Only by using this official registration form it is possible to register.

Requirements:

Applicants must hold a Bachelor's degree, or equivalent degree in molecular medicine, biology, biochemistry or related fields (not medicine).

Applicants who are not native speakers of English should demonstrate adequate competence of the English language by acceptable results on an internationally recognized test (e.g. TOEFL, IELTS, APIEL, CPE). Participation in such a test is recommended but not mandatory, as language skills can also be evaluated during the personal interviews with selected candidates (see Selection and Admission). Proven higher education in English or a reasonably long stay in an English-speaking country is also acceptable.

Registration and Application Procedure:

Prior to preparing the application form, all applicants have to register online. In the online registration you will be asked to enter your personal data and information regarding your previous education. Successful online registration is confirmed by e-mail. This mail contains a registration number required for your application. The online registration is designed to accelerate the selection and admission procedure but DOES NOT substitute a signed version of all required application documents (see below), which should be sent by air mail or surface mail to the coordination office. Scanned documents submitted by e-mail cannot be accepted. The application form is delivered by a second e-mail after successful registration.

Please refrain from inquiries regarding the status of your application. You will be informed as soon as the results are known.

b)  Interviews:

Promising candidates will be invited for interviews in Goettingen (travel expenses will not be covered by the program).
In some cases interviews will be organized by video conference in collaboration with foreign partner institutions.
The interviews are scheduled end of June. Afterwards the admissions committee will reach a decision with regards to admission based on the written application, the pre test (optional) and the interviews.
