Operational Division of Research

The Operational Division of Research and General Academic Affairs (G1-1) within the Managing Board for Research and Teaching provides administrative support to the divisions and departments and is responsible for resource management in research.
Major tasks are:

• Research controlling
• Internal research evaluation and performance-related resource allocation
• Faculty-internal research promotion
• Information System Research and Teaching (FACTScience)
• Reporting system in research (research report and website)
• Information, advice and support during application and realization of third party funded projects funded by national research-sponsoring bodies such as DFG, BMBF, or foundations
• Core service facilities in research

Special advice and help with the application and realization of projects funded by international funding bodies (e.g., EU, NIH, GIF, HFSP) and support of scholarship holders (e.g., DAAD, Humboldt Foundation) is provided by the Operational Division of International Relations  (G1-3). The administration of external funding is the responsibility of the Operational Division of Finances (G3-1) .
